"Christian will make a presentation on "Participation in Cybathlon - how does the success happen".

Bermes and a joint team of students and project engineers HSR Enchansed spent 10 months developing a ZED racing chair for paralyzed pilot Florian Hauser. The result of this painstaking work was the Gold Medal in the "Powered Wheelchair Race " discipline at the first Cybathlon competition in Zurich in 2016.

During his presentation at the RoboSector-2018, Christian will present the technical details of the designed chair, as well as key factors that allowed the team to succeed. In addition, the professor share the further steps and perspectives of the team at Cybathlon in 2020.

Within the framework of the presentation, Christian Bermes will also talk about exo-skeleton - another example of a complex project that unites different Universities and different specialists for achieving the result.

About event

Cybathlon is an international competition for people with disabilities, which were first held in Zurich in 2016.

The competition involves pilots and athletes, both professional and non-professional, who thank to modern technologies, pass complex routes.

The main task of Cybathlon is to attract attention to the latest technological solutions that may help people with disabilities return to active life in the future.
